Every Child Belongs at Willow on the Farm

At Willow on the Farm, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued, included and able to thrive.

We celebrate each child as an individual, recognising that every child learns, communicates and experiences the world in their own unique way. Whether a child needs additional support, adjustments to their learning environment, or simply a little extra time and encouragement, we are committed to working closely with families to help them flourish.

Our vision is to nurture confidence, independence, resilience, courage, a caring nature, and grace and courtesy. These values guide everything we do and help us create a community where children feel they truly belong.

Our Approach

As a small, nurturing nursery, we are able to build strong relationships with children and families. We make reasonable adjustments wherever possible and work collaboratively with parents, carers and professionals to support each child’s learning, wellbeing and participation.

We welcome conversations about:

  • SEND and additional needs
  • Medical or physical requirements
  • Communication and language needs
  • Individual learning styles
  • Transition support

Accessibility Around Our Site

Our setting includes:

  • Single-storey learning environments
  • Ramped access to our existing building
  • Accessible toilet facilities
  • Flexible classroom layouts
  • Small class sizes and high levels of adult support
  • Accessibility features incorporated into our new pre-prep building plans

As we are based on a working farm, some outdoor areas include natural and uneven terrain. Where needed, we will always explore reasonable adjustments and alternative ways for children to participate in the experiences that make learning at Willow on the Farm so special.

Accessible Communication

We want every family to feel informed, included and able to communicate confidently with us.

Where needed, we will work with families to provide information in alternative formats and use visual or other supportive methods of communication. We are also committed to supporting families for whom English is an additional language.

If there is a particular way we can make communication easier for you, please let us know and we will do our best to help.

Working in Partnership with Families

We know that parents and carers are the experts on their own children.

If your child has additional needs, a disability, a medical condition, sensory differences, or if you simply have questions about how we can support them, we encourage you to talk to us.

The earlier we understand your child’s needs, the better we can work together to provide the right support and create a positive start to their journey with us.

Every conversation is welcomed, and we are always happy to arrange a visit so that we can discuss your child’s individual needs in a relaxed and supportive way.
